At Home Workout – High Intensity Interval Training

17 Minute At Home Cardio by FitnessBlender.com

I’ve been going to the gym regularly for a year and a half now, and it really does improve your self-esteem.  Although, I will admit, it also adds to my guilt; because, I feel like crud if I don’t go to the gym or do some sort of workout.  At one point, I had lost 12 pounds by eating healthy and going to gym 5 days a week, for 2 hours at a time.  I was beginning to look my best, but maintaining that time I spent in the gym became a big challenge while going to school, working, moving out, etc.  I’ve realized that as long as I’m doing something, I can be healthy and fit.  I’ve been trying many different at home workouts to do at least 2-3 times a week, while going to the gym the other days of the week to get in my strengthening training.  Today, I gave in and tried one of these high intensity interval trainings, and let me tell you…it kicked my butt!  This really put myself at test, and it is really amazing how you can surprise yourself.

My main tip when doing this workout video, take their advice and go at your own pace.  I originally started to keep up with her but I realized that it was better for me to go at my own pace that I could handle, while still properly breathing and maintaining a good form.

Random Tidbit: When quickly reading the site of this video, I immediately read “Fitness Blunder” (instead of Fitness Blender) and I typed it into my search bar to find their home page, and I found this really cool article from BodyBuilding.com.  I laughed a little on Number 6, because forgetting a hair tie can really ruin a workout!
